Training Workshop objectives
The LIPS workshop will provide a platform for local stakeholders to share their experiences with colleagues from around the world. The workshop is also designed to promote the transfer of Lean Thinking to other areas of public governance and service delivery, with the aim of considerably enhancing the quality of services provided. With its multitude of benefits and wide-ranging applications, Lean is a promising investment for the future of infrastructure projects in any country.
The workshop will provide training in the fundamentals of Lean in public sector projects, the Lean Government Framework and foundational Lean principles and practices. It will be a collaborative workshop involving presentations, case studies, experiential learning simulations and discussions.

Samer is a researcher specialized in using artificial intelligence to improve industrial processes in municipal, mining, and construction industries. He led several research initiatives at the University of Alberta (Canada), Centrale Lille (France) and with the industry at large on topics related to Industry 4.0.
